Oggi vi volevo parlare delle tinte labbra di LaSplash, che ho scoperto ed acquistato recentemente.
Al Cosmoprof avevano lo stand ma al lunedì mattina, quando sono andata io, stavano già chiudendo bottega e, soprattutto, le tinte labbra erano praticamente tutte sold out. Mi sono arrangiata ad acquistarle dal sito ufficiale (che fino a poco tempo fa non spediva in Italia) durante un periodo con gli sconti sulle spedizioni internazionali. Quando ho visto "Italy" tra le destinazioni mi sono brillati gli occhi e ho ordinato subito, anche se ovviamente le cavallette avevano già lasciato ben poca roba. L'ultimo arrivato invece, Faline, l'ho acquistato da MakeUp And Candles, una ragazza che rivende cosmetici americani tramite la sua pagina Facebook (dalla quale avevo già acquistato "I'M Royalty" di Jeffree Star).

Today I wanted to talk about LaSplash lip tints, which I recently discovered and bought!
While I was in Cosmoprof in Bologna, I went to their stand, but since it was the last day nothing was left and they were already packing up all the stuff. I went ahead and bought three of the tints from their website while there was a sale on international shipping. Again, there were few colours left, but luckily I found some of the ones I was looking for!
The last one, Faline, I bought from "MakeUp And Candles" on Facebook (I already bought from her the "I'm Royalty" lip tint by Jeffree Star).

Passiamo alla review!
Come prima cosa premetto che già solo a fare gli swatch su labbra ho fatto una fatica orrenda a levarli...dopo averne swatchate quattro avevo le labbra gonfie e in fiamme, e per toglierle ci ho dovuto mettere un kg di burrocacao di quelli belli corposi, perchè lo struccante nulla poteva (a parte forse quello di lush, o un panetto di burro)...l'applicazione è abbastanza semplice se avete dimestichezza con gli applicatori di questo tipo anche se, essendo quelle in mio possesso tonalità importanti, ho preferito comunque definire i bordi con un pennellino.
La nota negativa per quanto mi riguarda è l'odore: puzzano di vernice! Non voglio sapere cosa contengono per puzzare così.
La cosa che mi piace è che per quasi tutti basta una sola passata per risultare perfettamente coprenti e si asciugano molto rapidamente, non evidenziano pellicine ma anzi, le labbra sembrano praticamente photoshoppate. Chiaro che se avete le labbra completamente spaccate (come me d'inverno) non vi consiglio nemmeno di provare ad indossarle, perchè la situazione non può che peggiorare, come ogni tinta labbra super opaca, ovviamente seccano!

On to the full review!
First of all, making these swatches was a real pain, because this stuff doesn't come off with any makeup remover I have, unless you rub you lips to death. I had to use a very thick lipbalm to melt a bit and then rub it off (unless you use butter or lush's makeup remover I don't think this stuff will come off easily)...application is easy if you are used to this kind of sponges, but since I have only bright and dark colours I prefer to use a lip brush anyway.
The only thing I don't really like the varnish stink they have, I don't want to know the ingredients, haha!
What I like about them is that you need just one coat to get the perfet coverage, and they dry quickly. And they make your lips look perfect, even if you have some dry patches (like I do!). If you tend to have very dry lips (as I do during winter) wearing these would only make it worse, since they're quite drying.

Studio Shine Lip Lustre

Di tinte labbra simili in giro ne ho viste poche, non tanto per i colori, ma perchè pur essendo iper opache contengono tanti microglitterini che danno un effetto bellissimo (in foto si nota di più che dal vivo) dando tridimensionalità alle labbra. E ogni tonalità porta il nome di un personaggio Disney femminile ;)
In generale trovo che siano tutto sommato confortevoli nonostante siano super opache. Come ogni rossetto liquido opaco che si rispetti, se mangiate roba unta non reggerà molto (io ho fatto la prova bruschetta e non sono sopravvissute). Sono però waterproof e ho notato che, anche se le tengo su diverse ore, non tendono a dare quel fastidioso effetto di appicicaticcio al centro delle labbra, dove con certe tinte dopo un po' tende a formarsi una riga sgradevole alla vista e fastidiosa.

I haven't seen many lip tints like these ones around, not for the colour range but because they are ultra matte, but with a metallic finish. The final effect is gorgeous (though it's more evident on camera) and it gives dimension to the lips. Every colour is named after a female Disney character ;)
Overall I think these are pretty comfortable on the lips despite being ultra matte. Like every matte lipstick, if you eat something quite oily, they will start to come off (I tried them with a bruschetta-basicly a bread slice with tomato, olive oil and stuff- and they didn't make it). These are waterproof and I notice that, even if I wear them for a long time, they don't get that annoying sticky feeling as other lip tints tend to do.

Questo colore si chiama come me. Ed è un colore molto me. Potevo lasciarlo lì? :D
La colorazione mi piace tantissimo, è intensa ma non fluorescente, una punta di fucsia orchidea leggermente stemperata resa luminosa dai microglitter. E' perfettamente coprente con una passata, si asciuga velocemente, dura tanto senza tirare. Delle quattro tinte LaSplash che possiedo è la mia preferita!

A color named like me. And a very me kinda color. Could I skip this one? :D
I really love the colour, it's bright but not fluorescent, a kind of muted orchid purple that still has its brightness. The colour payoff is perfect with just one swipe, dries fast, lasts long without tearing your lips apart. So far, it's my favourite shade between the ones I own!

Faline

Faline è un bellissimo viola melanzana dai microglitterini che virano leggermente sul rosato. Un colore veramente unico. Questa rispetto alle altre richiede un paio di passate in quanto alla prima stesura non risulta coprente al 100%. Come texture è comunque ottima: la consistenza è leggermente meno densa delle altre lip lustre e ciò permette di fare due strati senza che il colore si screpoli.
EDIT: il colore è bellissimo ma purtroppo la tinta è pesantissima sulle labbra se portata per molte ore, e quando si mangia qualcosa di vagamente unto tende a screpolarsi in una maniera orrenda!

Faline is a beautiful eggplant purple with pinker microglitters. A very unique shade. This one requires two swipes as the first one is not 100% opaque. The texture is still very good: it's less thicker than the other ones so you can layer the colour without any problems.
EDIT: beautiful colour, but it gets very heavy and uncomfortable if you try to wear this for a few hours, and if you try to eat something slightly oily, it comes off in the ugliest way, all cracking up.

Esmeralda 

Questa lip lustre a stesura credo sia la peggiore tra quelle in mio possesso. Alice si stende da sola, Faline necessita di due passate...Esmeralda è coprente con una sola, ma è molto densa. Bisogna stenderla a colpo sicuro e dosandola bene, altrimenti crea uno strato troppo denso di colore e diventa anche poco confortevole. Scusate la stesura pietosa in foto ma, come ho già detto, queste tinte si struccano molto difficilmente e le labbra iniziavano a lamentarsi!

I think this Lip Lustre is a pain in the a** to apply. Alice goes on perfectly, Faline requires two swipes but it's still ok...Esmeralda has a good coverage but it's quite thick. It needs to be applied carefully, otherwise you will get a super thick layer and that is not very comfortable on the lips. Sorry for the bad lip swatch, but as I said, these things are super hard to remove and my lips are quite delicate!

Smitten Lip Tint

Le Smitten Lip Tint sono classiche tinte labbra completamente opache, più simili a quelle della linea base di LaSplash. La particolarità è che ci sono colorazioni più strambe, come appunto Sirius, o anche Nagini (un bel verde foresta) o Bellatrix (un viola scurissimo). Mi piace che abbiano scelto i nomi dei personaggi della saga di Harry Potter! Tra questi e i Lip Lustre, LaSplash si è divertita ad attingere dai ricordi d'infanzia delle generazioni nate negli anni 90!

Smitten Lip Tints are more like the regular matte lip tints, I think they are pretty similar to the regular LaSplash line. The difference is, between the Smittens, there are more peculiar colours, like Sirius, Nagini (a forest green) and Bellatrix (a dark purple). I like their Harry Potter names! Between Smitten and Lustres, I bet at LaSplash they had fun naming their products after the most loved characters of our childhood!

Sirius

Ecco, Sirius in foto sembra un blu vibrante, invece dal vivo io lo vedo quasi nero. Credo sia in buona parte colpa dell'uploader di immagini di Blogger perchè nella foto originale non è così sparato!
Questa tinta mi ha un po' deluso più che altro per il colore, perchè anche io mi aspettavo, visti gli swatches, che fosse un blu molto meno cupo. Peccato perchè per quanto mi riguarda la stesura è ottima, nonostante la tonalità particolare, e anche la durata è all'altezza delle altre. Magari lo sfrutterò meglio per trucchi più drammatici e artistici! ;)

On the blog, Sirius looks like a deep, vibrant blue, almost electric, but I see it way darker in real life. I think it's Blogger's uploader fault, because I don't remember it being so bright in the original picture!
I'm not really digging this one because when I purchased it, I expected it to be as you see it in pictures, but it really is a very dark blue. A pity, because application is fine, despite it being an uncommon shade, and it also lasts good. Maybe I'll use it for some dramatic/artistic makeup ;)

Le tinte LaSplash in generale per me sono promossissime, sto già pensando a quali altre tonalità prendere (magari più estive) dato che ora il sito spedisce anche in Italia!

EDIT: dopo averle riprovante svariate altre volte, almeno le Lustre non mi sentirei di consigliarle granchè. Quando feci la review non avevo ancora provato molte altre marche quindi non avevo un metro di confronto molto ampio...col senno di poi, mi sentirei di consigliarvi di aspettare l'uscita delle Metal Crush di Kat Von D, sperando che la qualità sia la stessa dei suoi Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks già sul mercato!

LaSplash lip tints for me are a big thumbs up! I'm already thinking about new shades to get (maybe more summery) since their website now ships to Italy!

EDIT: after trying these for a few months, I don't feel like suggesting to purchase them, at least the Lustre ones. When I wrote this review, I had not yed tried many other brands so I couldn't compare...as of now, I would suggest you to wait for the Kat Von D Metal Crush Liquid Lipsticks, hoping that the quality is just as good as her permanent line of Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks!
